About the site
The new site features two 200kW chargers, delivering ultra-rapid charging to 4 bays, including 2 fully accessible bays. With 24-hour CCTV, new lighting and easy-to-use contactless payments, Zapgo delivers a safe, secure and convenient rapid charging experience for all drivers and passengers.
The new site at the Stanley Club follows the recent launch of a Zapgo rapid EV charging site at Tesco Express in Lochmaben, Lockerbie. Both locations reflect Zapgo’s mission to expanding access to EV charging to places that need it most.
Supporting local destinations
Reflecting the importance Zapgo attaches to helping and supporting communities where it operates, the Company is proud to be providing £10,000 of funding to the Stanley Club to facilitate the delivery of essential building renovations and upgrades.
This upfront funding, in addition to revenue share generated from every charge, will help the Club to continue to serve as a vital community space for its members and visitors well into the future.
Neil Mahapatra, CEO of Zapgo, said:
“We’re thrilled to bring rapid charging to the Stanley Club – an important community hub which has been bringing local people together for the past 20 years. We are proud to champion their commitment to the community by bringing EV charging to parts of Lancashire that have been waiting to enjoy the benefits of local EV charging.”
Glenn Stoneman, Secretary of the Stanley Club, said:
“Bringing EV charging to our car park puts the Stanley Club right at the heart of our community. We’re excited to see the benefits of our role as a valuable new hub supporting Lancashire’s journey to a greener future. The Stanley Club will earn revenue from every charge, and we look forward to investing directly into our facilities to continue our work as an important local landmark.”
