Zapgo attends Callerton Co-op launch

Zapgo was delighted to attend the official opening of the new Co-op store at Callerton Rise Retail Park, near Newcastle, on the same day that we launched our new ultra-rapid charger at the site.

Bringing together local residents and businesses, the event celebrated an important milestone for the growing community

The Callerton Co-op Store Opening Day – Community Celebration took place on the same day we launched our new ultra-rapid EV charging site, providing convenient public charging for shoppers, residents and motorists living in and visiting the area.

Our new site features a 200kW charger serving two charging bays and sits alongside the newly opened Co-op store, Greggs, and Harrison Family Vets in the Callerton Rise Retail Park.

Representing Zapgo at the event was Ross Mabon, Chief Operating Officer, who met with local stakeholders and the Callerton Co-op team to mark the launch and discuss the importance of delivering practical infrastructure that supports local communities in the transition to electric vehicles.

Community engagement is an integral part of our approach to infrastructure delivery at Zapgo. By working closely with local businesses, landowners and stakeholders, Zapgo aims to ensure our charging network provides long-term benefits for both EV drivers and the communities we serve.

Our new site at the Callerton Rise Retail Park strengthens our growing network of rapid and ultra-rapid charging locations across the UK, helping to provide rapid and reliable charging in areas where drivers need it most.
