Zapgo supports local charity cricket match

June 2, 2026

Zapgo was proud to support the Burscough CC vs Lashings World XI Charity Cricket Match on 22 May 2026, bringing together hundreds of people from Burscough and the surrounding areas for a fantastic afternoon of community sport and fundraising.

Supporting local communities

Held at Burscough Cricket Club, just round the corner from Zapgo’s charging site at The Stanley Club, the event welcomed local residents, families, businesses and cricket fans for a memorable occasion celebrating community spirit and local investment.

All proceeds from the event are being reinvested in the community through supporting youth development at Burscough Cricket Club.

Preserving a local institution

Alongside supporting the match, last year, Zapgo donated £10,000 to The Stanley Club to help fund important repairs to the building, reinforcing our longstanding commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate.

As we continue to expand our network of rapid and reliable EV charging infrastructure across the UK, we remain laser focused on ensuring our sites deliver meaningful benefits to local communities alongside practical charging solutions for drivers.

The company would also like to thank everyone involved in organising the event and supporting the fundraising efforts in Burscough and local communities.

“It was fantastic to see so many people come together to support such an important local cause. Community partnerships are a key part of how we approach infrastructure delivery, and, as a keen cricketer myself, I’m proud to lead Zapgo in supporting both Burscough Cricket Club and The Stanley Club through initiatives that create long-term local value.”
