Local MP visits new ultra-rapid EV charging site bringing investment to The Stanley Club in Burscough

Local MP Ashley Dalton visited The Stanley Club last week to see first-hand how new ultra-rapid EV chargers installed by Zapgo are already bringing benefits to residents, drivers and the much-loved community venue.

On a tour of the site, Ashley Dalton MP was impressed by Zapgo’s commitment not only to improving EV charging infrastructure in West Lancashire, but also to providing meaningful, long-term support to the local community hubs that it partners with.

Ashley Dalton MP welcomed the opportunity to meet with The Stanley Club’s Chair and Club Secretary and see the latest upgrades to the venue. The team described the club’s ongoing renovation plans and highlighted the positive impact that recent grant funding and Zapgo’s partnership is already having on these improvements.

A key focus of the visit was Zapgo’s community-focused model, which ensures that local venues directly benefit from hosting charging infrastructure. As part of this approach, Zapgo has provided £10,000 of funding to the club to support essential building renovations. The club will also earn a revenue share from every charge.

The new site features two 200kW chargers, delivering ultra-rapid charging to 4 bays, including 2 fully accessible bays. With 24-hour CCTV, new lighting and easy-to-use contactless card readers installed, Zapgo delivers a convenient rapid charging experience for all drivers.
